Jangling rock (The Soft Boys, Soft Candy, The Jeanies), hyped-up rock (MC5, Poison Idea, Arab on Radar, The Dictators) Two versions of a Bacharach song (Dionne Warwick, The Stranglers), disco (AHZZ) serious chill-out (Nick & Samantha) and a mess (Royal Trux) accompany a quintet of electronic tracks (The Technocrats, Jamie Patton, Richard Sen, Sasah). Two tracks with titles influenced by the same New Order track!

A difficult show to characterize, but I can say there are a bunch of dub tracks and a bunch of African tracks. The last six tracks in part 2 are taken from the Now-Again comp ‘Wake Up You! The Rise And Fall Of Nigerian Rock’. There are choice rock tracks interspersed, and even an all-kazoo Rolling Stones cover.

Rock show with 3 electronic tracks in the middle, closing out part 1 and starting part2. T. Rex Regeneration is a tape manipulation project from Tony Visconti and his son that takes discarded studio tape from prime-era T Rex and builds two songs that never existed from them. Either sacrilege or heaven, depending on your view.

A post-punk electronic show. The Prats recorded in Edinburgh 1978, but have the post-punk sound, as do 39 Clocks, that tracks like Disintegrators (from ‘Cold Waves of Color 2’) blend into their electronics, as do Manicured Noise. John Cale never needed to live in any scene, and the 1984 track here shows that. Binder Quintet show they can fit in this show playing jazz. Like artists on the Ze label (he is not) Henri Pierre Noel blended the influences for a dance club.
